The 21 Acres Center for Local Food and Sustainable Living is a nonprofit agricultural and environmental learning center featuring an organic farm and living laboratory for green and sustainable building design. Through education and advocacy, 21 Acres seeks to accelerate social change toward more sustainable ways of growing, eating and living that protect the environment while supporting a better quality of life.
21 Acres incorporates a whole systems approach to solving issues around food availability, small-scale food economies, environmental preservation and sustainability. The farm and campus are located in Sammamish Valley, near Woodinville, Washington. The LEED Platinum certified green building supports the Farm, School, Commercial Kitchen, Farm Market and Food Hub.
