Common Ground FarmCommon Ground Farm is located on land leased from Stony Kill Environmental Center. Common Ground sponsors a diverse educational workshop series each season, with activities for both adults and children. The farm workshops have included classes on farming, herbs, cooking, pickling and canning, gardening and natural crafts for children, and alternative energy. CGF participates in the Green Teens Community Gardening project in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension for summer youth education. Common Ground provides assistance for low income members of the community to participate in the CSA through our Family Wellness program and Mobile Market. Common Ground donates fresh surplus produce each week to a local food pantry in Beacon, NY. The farm participates in the local Beacon Farmer's Market, held each Sunday from 10am-2pm from June through October, to help improve access to fresh, healthy food. Farmer's Market Nutrition Program coupons are accepted at the market.
