Using psychology and education to enrich the world through respect for nonhuman animals.Since 1981, Psychologists for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has worked with social scientists, mental health providers and other animal rights and welfare organizations to reduce the suffering and exploitation of both human and nonhuman animals. We are a national organization of professionals interested in animal welfare. We produce a video on the connection between violence toward human and non-human animals, as well as edit two journals - Society & Animals, and Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science.
