Etankless

Surprisingly, Instahot, "hot water on demand," or "tankless hot water heaters" have been in continuous use since World War II. Predominately found in Europe in several different configurations since the 1940's, currently, Europeans exclusively use tankless hot water heaters because of their efficiency, small size, and energy savings. There are many differences between European and tankless water heaters. For example: the Europeans install a unit at every point of use; but, s demand their tankless system to be located where their original water tank was. Because of the configuration of the European units, the differing electrical systems, and the poor water pressure, the units are not compatible in the U.S. market without a major cost of redeveloping the units. To retrofit an house with the European design would be cost prohibitive.
