MarketPlace: Handwork of India

MarketPlace: Handwork of India is fair trade and not for profit organization. We combine the knowledge and experience of business management with a good variety of support programs.

These programs are designed to positively change the lives of lower income women in India. We work together with about 480 artisans in which are organized into 14 independent co-operatives. All these groups will produce and create top quality women's apparel and home decor. 

Because they are in charge of their own businesses, these women learn not only valuable business and teamwork skills, but they are also about to support their families financially. On top of this, our programs offer educational and empowerment classes designed to help overcome personal, cultural and financial difficulties.
