Owners Stewart and Laurel Loew have been farming for the past two decades.
These days, the couple leaves most of the farm work to younger! interns and volunteers who help grow pumpkins for the annual green Fall Festival, Garlic and onions for a pleasant summer harvest festival in June and other vegetables for their own consumption.
Most of the 63 acres is pasture for horses and beef cows.
Agua Linda Organic Farm is surrounded by over 1000 acres of private ranch land and an environmental preserve.
The Stewart spends lots of his time with his first passion - music.
He provides D.J. disk jockey services for weddings on the farm and moonlights as a DJ and sound mixer for weddings and corporate and private eco events in Tucson, Sahuarita, Rio Rico and even out of state.
Laurel's leading job these days is consulting for her wedding clients and has recently added vintage and antique rentals as a side business along with her sister, Erika Alvord, Tucson.
Agua Linda Organic Farm is a popular place for families to spend the day at (Fall Festival in October; Easter) and Laurel a former teacher books educational field trips for students in October.
The visitors to the farm enjoy the advantages of the warm, dry desert climate while relaxing on green grass under giant shade trees.
The adobe sustainable hacienda is closed to the public except for the occasional home tour and weddings (the bridal dressing room is in the main hacienda.
It was created in the 1940's by Carlos Ronstadt and was designed by Josiah Josler.
The Loew family (of Loew's Theaters, MGM and Paramount Pictures) brought the property in the 50's.
