Basics of a Colonic

One of the services here at Healing Waters is a Colonic. A Colonic is also known as a colonic irrigation, a colon hydrotherapy or a high colonic.

It is one of the easiest ways to clean up your body and get you back to a Healthy and Holistic lifestyle. 

In general, it is a safe and effective method for both hydrating and evacuating the colon. This is done by gently flushing the colon several times with warm, clean and purified water.

In the colonic session, a person will be comfortably positioned on the equipment. The rectal nozzle will be inserted about one and a half inches. 
You would be able to feel gentle flow of gravity fed warm water when it begins. It will flow into your body and your colon start to peristalsis - a normal muscular action of colon and this will cause the release of water and waste. 

This process often starts at the rectum, continues to transverse section and then to the cecum. It is designed to break down waste matter and this process will achieve complete evacuation of your colon.
