Duck and Waterfowl Sanctuary

At Majestic Waterfowl Sanctuary, we are a - non profit organisation dedicated to the protection of domestic waterfowl.

Most buyers purchase ducklings and 8 weeks - goslings and then realize 6 to 8 weeks later,  they no longer have the means to properly care for them. They find a local pond and drop the birds off there, mistakenly thinking they are do a favor by “setting them free.”

Domestic ducks are unable to fly and do not have the genetic programming or the skills needed to survive in the wild. Most die within months of being dumped by their owners. Some are killed by starvation and some die slowly of predators.

Those that make it to winter often freeze to death, suffer severe frostbite and lose limbs or part of their beaks, or literally freeze to ponds and lakes that have been owed over.

We work to humanely capture ducks and geese in order or spare them from this fate. 

Once the birds are in healthy and adoptable condition, we list them for adoption and work to find them permanent, loving homes.
