LEAP is a green Association that facilitates partnerships and conversations between communities, NGOs, government and industry, aiming to unravel a history of hierarchical, colonial patterns and to create new, authentic and equitable relationships.

We have several project focus areas:

One of our focuses is to forest and habitat preservation and restoration. What we aim to do is to preserve existing forest and habitat areas. This can be done by identifying, rehabilitating and reforesting degraded and critical forest and habitat areas and corridors to increase carrying capacity for wildlife and support sustainable livelihoods for local communities. 

We also believe in biodiversity and habitat protection through land acquisition. This means that we focus on identifying, purchasing and holding in trust vital wildlife corridors to prevent further habitat fragmentation and promote contiguity of forest tracts.

Landscape and ecosystem protection through the exploration of new mechanisms is also important to us here at LEAP. We aim and focus on exploring, facilitating new partnerships, and bringing in knowledge and expertise on emerging methodologies for landscape and ecosystem protection, including Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation, and carbon and biodiversity offsets and credits.
