The organization shall be known as the Green Agri-Tourism Advisory Council or (Green ATAC).
Agritourism is when the community visits a working farm, ranch, winery, farmers market or an agricultural operation or site for enjoyment, outdoor recreation, activities, education, shipping, dining or lodging.
These visits generate income for the operators which help sustain the rural customs and culture and keep and possibly increase producers on our New Mexico lands.
It shall be the purpose of the Green Agri-Tourism Advisory Council or (Green ATAC) to generate more tourism revenue for the state and to help New Mexico farmers and ranchers boost their income and preserve their enterprises and tapping into the emerging market for agri-tourism.
Their vision is preserving sustainable agricultural heritage through tourism.
Their goal is to acquaint Lincoln County tourists and residents to farm organic fresh produce, products and activities.
Their objectives are to sponsor seasonal farmer markets, Publish heritage trail guide, encourage member participation in Lincoln County events and to provide access to a commercial kitchen for small growers.
