At Green Works Links, we're a blog focused green and eco friendly news that's happening around the world. One of our most popular and fascinating articles is the use of kinetic energy into electricity - without any carbon produced.
A supermarket in England has recently launched a project where it utilizes kinetic energy to power its checkout section. Where does this kinetic energy come from - from the vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot.
This wonderfully creative idea comes from the capture of kinetic energy and converting it to electricity. Kinetic energy is captured through a series of magnets and coils that produce energy based on vibrations or kinetics / movement found in the car park.
But there are many sceptics that question this as a viable alternative? Some argue that fossil fuels would be spent to harnessing the incoming kinetic energy produced is not in any way efficient.
