Sustainable Cocoa Beans

Here at the Blommer Chocolate Company, we are a third generation and family operated organisation. We feature the largest cocoa processor in the continent and we are also the top ingredient Organic Chocolate supplier in North America. 

We began in 1939 and have been a long time believer in sustainable and environmental cocoa farming. 

We even feature a program, Sustainable Origins. It includes three pillars of sustainability -

People is one of the pillars and this refers to improving farmer livelihood. We do this by providing the right tools and training to increase yields and income for the farmer and their families. Our aim is to create thriving cocoa communities with strict international labor standards that are both fair and sustainable.

We also believe in the importance of pressuring our planet. We like to practice socially responsible and sound environmental stewardship in our cocoa farming communities. Here we try to conserve and save up on soil and water whenever possible - without harming our cocoa plants. We also like to practise integrated pest management approaches to help protect our fragile tropical ecosystem.

Profit is the third pillar of our sustainable program. It is geared to improving our economic returns for the hardworking cocoa farmers. We aim to do this by investing in expanding their farming skills with effective farmer associations.
