School for Self-Healing

Here at the School for Self-Healing, we get asked a lot about how to be healthier when you're working with computers all day.

Sadly, working on computers or too much time on the computers can cause vision deterioration, eyestrain, headaches, tight neck and shoulders and pain in the jaw.

The best tip we can give you is to take small breaks - about 30 to 60 seconds breaks every 20-30 minutes. In fact, try to take a break before an hour have passed as this can make a huge difference to your Health and vitality.

We recommend you set an alarm on the computer to remind you to take a vision break every 20 or 30 minutes. Take off your glasses and look away from the screen at far as you can - perhaps out a window. Try to move your eyes from detail to detail. Then, cover your dominant eye with one hand and look with your weaker eye. Roll your eyes around in a circle, move your head in a circle in both directions and side to side, rotate each shoulder, blink, wave your hands at the side of your face, and go back to work.

Try to do these at least once every house and you'll notice that you'll feel more refreshed and energetic by the end of the day.
