The Ball campus is situated on land which was mainly prairie in its beginnings, with just a few acres designated as wetland. Then, the Ball Ecological Restoration Project began.
In 2003, this ecological restoration project started on thirty acres at the southwest corner of the campus to return this area to its native, balanced state.
It was also designed to re-establish a range of flora and fauna, and will supply advantages not just to the people who will enjoy it, but to air, soil and water Quality.
