Like a lot of other businesses, Sweetpea started as a hobby. We began with hours and hours of effort spent baking and tweaking and taste testing in our homes.
Currently, our Vegan bakery menu offers breakfast, daily homemade soups, sandwiches, bagels, and a full range of pastries. We even have freshly baked doughnuts available on Saturdays.
The aim of our business is to make 100% top quality vegan baked goods. Although we are not a gluten free bakery, we still have a large range of options for those with gluten allergies.
We believe that no animals need to be harmed when it comes to making or baking delicious food - from moist cake, a soft doughnut, or a flaky scone. All of our products have no eggs, butter, or milk. Our cakes are all baked with sustainably grown organic ingredients, and locally made non-gmo soymilk. They are rich and dense, without being overly sweet. Our frosting is buttery and creamy - without the gritty shortening taste.
We also use many organic ingredients and our flour is locally grown as well. We also source most of our seasonal produce and fruit from local markets and growers. We compost 80% of our waste, and use compostable to-go packaging, cups and utensils.
