What is Cupping Therapy

Here at Acupuncture for Wellness, one of the most popular holistic health services we feature is the Cupping Therapy.

The Cupping therapy is method in Traditional Chinese Medicine and was first used in China back about 3,500 years ago. Before the introduction of glass, the ancient doctors or therapists would use cow horns or bamboo to remove blood and poison from the body. 

This treatment is generally used for disease and pain. Today, we still use the cupping therapy for similar reasons - but with the innovation of modern science and and understanding, we now know that is can be used in both beauty therapy and well-being medicine.

Cupping has also been found to affect up to 4 inches into the tissues and this causes the tissues to release toxins. Once this happens the colon activates and becomes of blockages. This method can be used to help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins.
