Here at Rolling Prairie Farmers Alliance, we all understand the importance of having not only a large array of fresh fruits and vegetables everyday - but we also understand the importance of eating Organic Food.
Although nutritionally, the difference between organic and commercial produce isn't high, you can still benefit from eating a healthy dose of organic fruits and vegetables.
Organic produce is produce that is grown without the use of any pesticides. Hence, that means that there are no artificial or synthetic fertilizers used to the enhance growth or taste.
In general, Organic Produce is not grown with the use of sewage sludge - which is a scary fact about commercial produce.
Even with thorough washing, when you do not eat organic, there will be a build up of pesticides on your body of approximately 10 pounds each year. By simply going organic, you can reduce your pesticide intake by 80%.
