Welfare & rehabilitation of migratory songbirds and back yard birds with the intent to release free.Rehabilitation and release of wild migratory songbirds and back yard birds. Educate the public on matters of wild bird needs, the value of birds both economically and ecologically, and safety issues for wild birds. Birds come to us because of lawn poisens, pet attacks, oil spills, nest disruptions, landscape changes, construction, window hits, hit by car, storms and lots of other reasons. Wild birds are brought to us orphaned, injured or ill. We raise, mend, and medicate them, then go through a process of steps we refer to as a slow release method. Most move from incubator, to cage, to aviary, to flying free again. Especially orphaned birds are supplimentally fed until they are foraging sucessfully on their own while flying freely in the out of doors. Birds come to us from the general public, humane societies, zoos and vet clinics.
